
KYRA CARUSA felt like she was back at the World Cup in Australia yesterday, as Ireland once again rewrote the history books.
Carusa was among the scorers as the Girls in Green romped to a convincing 3-0 win over Northern Ireland in the first ever women's international to be staged at the Aviva Stadium.
Lucy Quinn and Lily Agg also found the net to send the vast majority of the 35,994-strong crowd home with smiles on their faces.
"We were here back before we left for the World Cup when we watched the men play (against Gibraltar in June)," said San Diego Wave striker Carusa.
