A FUMING hairdresser has hit back on social media after being ridiculed for her pricing – and says people need to have more respect for the hair and beauty industry.
Rebecca Louise Ivatt has been running her own salon in Prestwich for four years, having worked in hairdressing for 20 years.
She shares regular posts on Instagram showcasing some of the styles and clients she has been working on at her hair and beauty salon, called The Spa at 142. But her most recent post attracted abuse when she mentioned the price.
Rebecca shared the picture of a glamorous blonde hair style, which was £250 for half head highlights and a hair extension fit. But she woke up the next day to abusive messages asking her how she ‘dares’ charge that much.
Rebecca, 38, who lives in Prestwich, told the M.E.N. that she has had to face comments about price both on social media and in person in recent years. With costs continuing to spiral for small businesses, she says enough is enough.
