City, who won the Premier League title for the sixth time in seven years last season, have grown both on and off the field in recent years under the ownership of City Football Group, with revenues reaching an English record of £712.8m for the 2022/23 financial year, boosted by lucrative commercial deals and the riches earned from on-pitch success, including winning the Champions League.
According to Forbes, City's value sits at around $5.1bn (£4.1bn), a figure less than Manchester United and Liverpool.
But in terms of brand value, City are leading the way among English clubs, although they were knocked off top spot by Real Madrid in the global race in the Brand Finance Football 50 2024 Report.
Brand value is calculated by assessing the earnings of clubs that are specifically related to brand reputation.
Clubs own and control earnings by owning the trademark rights.
