A HIDDEN chocolatier in the city centre has won a handful of prestigious prizes at an international chocolate awards ceremony.

For nearly 10 years, Isobel Carse has been making her own selection of confections under the name of Dormouse Chocolates.

Having learnt her trade working at Hotel Chocolat, Isobel opened her own space within the former staff canteen at the old Granada Studios complex.

Six years ago, she opened a craft chocolate shop near Deansgate – becoming Manchester’s first-ever ‘bean-Tobar’ chocolatier.
