Dr Sonya Dhand, 32, and her partner Joe Corney, 35, jetted out to Cancun to enjoy a one-week holiday earlier this month. The couple, from Cheadle, Stockport, were due to fly back to Manchester on Saturday at 4.30pm. But shortly after boarding their plane, they were made aware of a technical fault that staff were trying to resolve.
Management consultant Joe said all passengers were made to stay onboard the plane in 'horrendously hot conditions' while they waited for the issue to be fixed. The couple claim there was no air-con and no cold drinks were offered.
After two hours, staff told passengers they were unable to resolve the fault and they were allowed to disembark the aircraft.
