Gun victim 'in row over fee to clean his trainers'

A MAN shot dead in the street ‘wasn’t very pleased’ after being told he would have to pay ‘full price’ for his trainers to be cleaned, a jury heard.

Zikel Bobmanuel died after being shot by his half-brother Rumaal Ingram.

After Ingram fired the single bullet in Openshaw, it hit the floor and ricocheted before connecting with 32-year-old Mr Bobmanuel’s neck. Prosecutors claim that Mr Bobmanuel’s alleged murder followed a row over some trainers, Manchester Crown Court has heard.

Ingram and a second man, Emmanuel Onasanya, are both on trial accused of murder. They both deny the charge, but Ingram has admitted manslaughter. Mr Onasanya, 32, who ran a business cleaning trainers, said he had agreed to clean five pairs of trainers belonging to Mr Bobmanuel, for £20 per pair.
