A CARE worker is in an induced coma after being hit by a car as she crossed the road to catch a bus.
Preeti Dhunna, 30, is in intensive care at Salford Royal Hospital following the crash on Cromwell Road on Saturday.
The driver, a 27-year-old man, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drug driving offences and was later bailed.
Following the crash, a stretch of the road was cordoned off by police with drivers being urged to avoid the area.
