'It's like roadworks are in bed with me'

A WOMAN has said roadworks booming directly outside her bedroom window have been keeping her up 'all night' and are affecting her mental health.

The resurfacing works to Kingsway, in Stretford, were scheduled to take place overnight between the hours of 10.30pm and 6.30am, from September 30 to October 5.

But one resident, who lives in an apartment block on Kingsway, says she has had to endure 'three nights of no sleep' after workmen and heavy machinery wreak havoc on her and neighbours.

The developments form part of the ongoing roadworks to Kingsway in Stretford, near to Stretford Mall, and its junctions with Barton Road and the A56 Chester Road.

The works have so far been carried out for more than 12 months and are said to be nearing completion.
