TWO SUSPECTS HUNTED AS 22-YEAR-OLD STABBED TO DEATH IN STREET AFTER ‘DISTURBANCE'

RESIDENTS living on the border of Moss Side and Hulme have spoken of their worry and shock after a 22-year-old man was stabbed to death in the street.

The victim was killed following a 'disturbance' on Moss Lane East, near the junction with Princess Road, just before 8pm on Wednesday. His friend alerted the emergency services, while two other men fled the scene in a car.

Forensics officers have recovered a knife just minutes away from the stabbing but say they don't yet know if it's connected.

Fire crews have been seen cutting through a set of gates, with officers in white forensic suits entering the property.

A manhunt is under way and no arrests have yet been made.

Neighbours living near scene told the M.E.N. that despite Moss Side's 'reputation, the area was usually quiet and felt safe with a mixture of locals and students living there. But one resident, Sam Ali, said after the fatal stabbing people will now feel 'paranoid.
