AS CARS tried to make their way through Lloyd Street South in Fallowfield, a line of blue, black and brown bins carefully positioned across the road blocked access.
Beyond the row of bins lay a police cordon where emergency services were parked up and responding to a tragic incident.
Just before 3pm on Saturday, Police, paramedics, the fire service and an air ambulance were all called to reports of concerns for the welfare of a man at an address on the street.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services, a man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene.
