MORE than 250 new apartments could be built just yards from the site of a controversial 33-storey residential tower.
If approved, 267 new flats will be built on land bordering Tariff Street and Port Street in the Northern Quarter, which is currently a car park.
Developers Marco Living and Axis Real Estate hope the city council's planning committee will make a decision on the proposals in February.
