The Souvlaki, 'a Greek restaurant and takeaway' on School Lane in Didsbury, bid for permission to serve booze "both on and off the premises' from 12 noon to 11pm every day. It already had permission to open and serve food until 11pm daily.
But locals objected to the proposals with three turning up to the Manchester council licensing meeting to attempt to stop the proposals.
"My main concern is noise," said Jan Campvbell, a neighbour. "I sleep opposite the premises, it's a very short distance away. It interferes with my sleep if it's going to be open very late.
