A WOMAN has recalled the heartbreaking moment she discovered her sister and brother were no longer breathing after falling asleep at her flat.
Speaking at an inquest into their deaths at Bolton Coroners' Court, Jade Couperthwaite became emotional as she described waking up on September 6, last year, to find her sister Carla Couperthwaite, 26, unresponsive next to her on the sofa at the flat they shared in Bolton.
She shouted for her brother Stephen Fisher, 33, in the bedroom next door, but got no response.
Jade told the inquest she called an ambulance and began performing CPR on her sister. Paramedics arrived at the flat shortly afterwards and found that Carla was sadly beyond resuscitation.
They then went to check on Stephen and found he had also died.
