Modi alleged that this infiltration was altering the demographic makeup of the Santhal Parganas and Kolhan regions, posing a threat to the state's stability.
Despite adverse weather conditions forcing a change in travel plans, the Prime Minister addressed a rally and virtually flagged off six new Vande Bharat trains, distributed sanction letters to 32,000 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas YojanaGramin (PMAY-G) scheme and laid the foundation stone for several infrastructure projects worth Rs 660 crore.
At the 'Parivartan Maharally' held at Gopal Maidan in Jamshedpur, Modi launched a scathing attack on the JMM-led coalition government in Jharkhand. He accused the ruling alliance of encouraging infiltration by Bangladeshis and Rohingyas for vote bank politics, asserting that these illegal immigrants pose a significant threat to the state’s demographic landscape, particularly in the Santhal Parganas and Kolhan regions.
“Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators have become a major threat to Santhal Parganas and Kolhan regions. The demography of these regions is changing fast. Tribal population is on decline,” Modi stated, highlighting concerns about land grabbing and the safety of Jharkhand’s residents.
