NEW DELHI: India on Friday described the indictment of billionaire Gautam Adani by US prosecutors as a "legal matter" involving private entities and individuals, asserting that the government was neither informed in advance nor involved in the case.
In its first official response following charges of alleged fraud against the industrialist, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that India had not received any communication from US authorities seeking cooperation.
