MR Kumar, the former chairman of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), who played a pivotal role in the insurance giant's capital market debut, has been named the non-executive chairman of the Bank of India. His tenure at LIC, which concluded in mid-March of the previous year, was marked by significant milestones and growth for the institution.
