A lack of motivation and drive can stop you dead in your tracks and prevent you from achieving your goals and dreams at certain stages in your life.

When one is de-motivated and lacks the energy to do things, it turns into a vicious cycle as they become even more despondent because they just cannot get out of the rut.

Motivation can be defined as the process that initiates, guides and maintains behaviours goal-oriented Motivation is what causes us to act, whether it is getting something to eat to reduce hunger or reading a book to get knowledge.

There are three parts to being motivated and these include activation, persistence and intensity.
