Former Springbok coach Jacques Nienaber's Irish team, Leinster, are now the only unbeaten side in the United Rugby Championship after they ended the Lions' good run at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday.
Leinster's 24-6 victory against Ivan van Rooyen's side leaves them top of the table with a six from six record and 29 points after the first block of matches of the 2024/25 season.
The Lions though, as well as the Bulls and Sharks, are well-placed on the points table, with the competition now taking a month-long break so that the northern hemisphere countries can host their autumn Test matches this November.
The Lions, with a four-from-five record, are fourth on the log with 18 points.
