'Conflict of interest' as SEBI chief gets salary from ICICI: Cong

The Congress on Monday trained its gun at the BJPled NDA government at the Centre, alleging that Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch is in serious conflict of interest as she kept on taking remuneration from ICICI Bank and ICICI Prudential besides the government.

Addressing a press conference at the party’s headquarters here, Congress leader Pawan Khera, who is also the Chairman of the media and publicity department alleged that Buch kept on receiving remuneration not only from the government but also from private entities, including ICICI Bank and ICICI Prudential, while serving in her official capacity, marking this as a “serious conflict of interest”.
