IIT Madras alumni's GalaxEye plans private satellite launch in 2025

GalaxEye, a space startup founded by alumni from IIT Madras, is preparing to launch its own constellation of satellites in 2025. The announcement comes after Pranit Mehta, one of the co-founders, and his team of IIT Madras graduates had the opportunity to discuss their plans with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his Mann Ki Baat radio program.

The startup was established in 2021 and has developed a cutting-edge sensor capable of penetrating clouds, which allows for clear imagery even STARTUP CORNER in adverse weather conditions. This technology, which the team describes as their "strongest," aims to address challenges specific to India, such as limited visibility during cloudy or nighttime conditions.
