NEET-SS Vacancies: Supreme Court Urges Union Govt to Take Decisions in 3 Months for Smooth Admission Next Academic Year

The Additional Solicitor General, ASG Aishwarya Bhatti in the case stressed that inputs from various stakeholders including the State Government or Union Territories, the National Medical Council and the National Board of Examination would be required, the Union may convene a meeting with all the stakeholders and suggest a proposal before this Court.
NEET-SS Vacancies: Supreme Court Urges Union Govt to Take Decisions in 3 Months for Smooth Admission Next Academic Year

The Supreme Court in the case Kevin Joy & Ors. v. Government of India & Ors observed and has directed the Union to conduct a stakeholder meeting with all States or UTs and Private Medical Colleges in relation to the issue of filling vacancies for NEET-Super Speciality Courses for the coming academic year. The Union is further expected to resolve the issue within the period of 3 months.

The bench comprising of Justice BR Gavai and Justice KV Vishvanathan, was hearing the present matter. In the present matter, the batch of petition is filed which arose out of successful candidates dropping out of such courses.
