On the eve of Navratri, the assailants had barged into the residence of the victim, Sunil Kumar and shot dead him and his family, consisting of his wife Poonam Bharti, and his two daughters, aged five and two.
As per police, the deceased wife had filed an FIR against Chandan Verma, a probable accused in the case under various sections of IPC at the Rae Bareli Police Station.
Further information from the police has revealed that there are no signs of forced entry of the assailants in the house.
