Purva Pandya Ujjain

Dr. Manmohan Singh, the 13th Prime Minister of India, passed away, leaving behind an indelible mark on the country's growth and development. His tenure from 2004 to 2014 was defined by groundbreaking economic reforms, transformative social welfare initiatives, and a foreign policy that strengthened India's global standing.

A Humble Beginning Born on September 26, 1932, in Gah, Punjab (now in Pakistan), Dr. Singh's early life was shaped by hardship. His family migrated to India during Partition and settled in Amritsar. Despite facing adversity, his academic brilliance earned him a scholarship to study economics at Punjab University, followed by a Ph.D. in economics from Oxford University.
