On Saturday, icy winds and thick fog plunged temperatures further, with multiple cities experiencing a drastic drop in visibility. For the second consecutive day, the Meteorological Department issued a cold-day alert for 10 districts, leaving residents to endure the bitter cold. Kanpur recorded the lowest temperature at 4.6 degrees Celsius over the last 24 hours.
