Days after Rajkot West MLA Darshita Shah urged the strict implementation of the Disturbed Areas Act in her constituency, Rajkot South MLA Rameshbhai Tilara has echoed similar concerns. The BJP leader has called for the Act to be enforced in specific parts of wards 7, 8, and 14 under his jurisdiction.
In a formal representation to the District Collector, Tilara requested the Act's implementation in areas such as Prahlad Plot, Vardhman Nagar, Karanpara, Diwan Para, Soni Bazaar, and Jayraj Plot. These regions, located in the old city of Rajkot, are home to small and medium-sized businesses as well as middle-class families.
