Unlike the Kamala Harris-Donald Trump presidential debate, the face-off between the vice-presidential candidates Ohio Senator JD Vance of the Republican Party and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz of the Democratic Party was civilized, leaving no clear winner or scars.
A polite VP debate as Vance and Walz stick to policy

Vance, just 40, ducked many questions and facts laid out by Walz, 20 years his senior, especially on whether Trump would repeat his Jan 6, 2021, act of refusing to concede a loss if the election results would be a close call.

That crucial issue, which worries many Americans, marked the clearest divide of the debate and did not witness any trading of punches except once when the moderators, for the first time, switched off the microphones of the candidates. Walz put Vance on the spot during a discussion of the January 6, 2021, insurrection and Trump's false claims that he won the 2020 election.
