Biker loses leg after heavy machinery topples on EEH

A 44-year-old biker lost his left leg after a piling machine (crane), which was being transported in a trailer truck, got dislodged and fell on his leg.

The accident, which took place in the wee hours of Saturday on the Eastern Express Highway (EEH) in Vikhroli East, also led to massive traffic disruptions.

The accident caused significant traffic disruptions on the EEH, particularly near Godrej Gate, where northbound traffic slowed down for hours.

The Ghatkopar bridge remained closed for six hours, forcing authorities to divert vehicles to the service road.
