At a high-level meeting of the BJP in the national capital on Tuesday, at which Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule and BJP leader Pankaja Munde were present, the subject came up for discussion.
Apart from the discussion over probable alliances in Maharashtra, the BJP brass also discussed other issues. Sources close to Fadnavis revealed that he had once again pressed the demand that he be allowed to resign as deputy CM and focus only on the assembly poll campaign. Reportedly, the party’s central leadership wants Fadnavis to continue in government and no decision was taken.
