Firecrackers to cost more this year

This year people would have to cough up more to buy their favourite firecrackers. The prices of the popular firecrackers have increased 2-3 percent compared to last year, said K Venugopal, President, Telangana Fireworks Dealers Association.

Popular firecrackers like a box of 10 pieces of Gold Sparkles cost Rs 100 and this year the price rose to Rs 103. Zamin Chakkars Deluxe Box cost Rs 350 last year; this year the cost rose to Rs 360. Flower Pots Big Box costs Rs 250 last year and this year it costs Rs 258. Jet Rockets Box costs Rs 400 and this year it costs Rs 412. Swastik Wheels Box cost Rs 480 last year and this year it costs Rs 495. 100 Wala Magic Crackers costs Rs 160 and this year it costs Rs 165 and Pop Pop Ground Crackers (2500 pcs) costs Rs 500 last year and this year it costs Rs 515.
