'Hindu Growth rate' will spur global economy: CM

At the ninth annual World Hindu Economic Forum (WHEF) conference held in Mumbai, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis confidently asserted that the "Hindu Growth Rate" would shape the global economy in the future.

Addressing delegates at the Jio World Convention Centre, Fadnavis highlighted Maharashtra's ambition to become India's first subnational $1 trillion economy by 2028, with logistics, technology, and data infrastructure at the forefront.

Fadnavis, who has consistently fused development with Hindutva in his governance vision, said, "The economic policies post-independence led to the derisive label of the Hindu rate of growth. Today, India is not only the fastest-growing economy but is poised to become the world's third-largest economy. This transformation stems from policies initiated by Atal Bihari Vajpayee and taken to their peak by Prime Minister Narendra Modi."
