Along with this, NTCA gave its nod to release one tiger and a tigress into Madhav National Park.
Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, Wildlife, L Krishnamurthy told Free Press that NTCA has given in principle approval to provide tiger reserve status to Madhav National Park. The meeting of NTCA’s technical committee took place almost fifteen days back to mull over the proposal and it was on Sunday that it issued order to notify Madhav National Park as a tiger reserve. Now, the state government will issue its own notification in this regard in the following days.
