At least seven heads of government are expected to attend the swearing-in of the Council of Ministers of the new government. The leaders of seven countries from India's neighbourhood and the Indian Ocean Region (IOR) have confirmed their participation.
Besides Hasina and Afif, the other leaders expected to participate are Sri Lanka President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu, Nepal PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', Mauritius PM Pravind Kumar Jugnauth and Bhutan PM Tshering Tobgay.
