The first trial landing at Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) is tentatively scheduled for October 5, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi expected to be present, according to Sanjay Shirsat, the newly appointed Chairman of the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO). Shirsat made the announcement during a site visit on Tuesday, adding that the date will be confirmed once the Prime Minister's schedule is finalised. An Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft is expected to conduct the trial landing.
