The “tampering with evidence commenced and even concluded to a large extent, with the help of monetary influence or otherwise at odd hours of midnight," Pune’s Additional Sessions Judge UM Mudholkar had noted while rejecting the bail petition of the six individuals accused in the May 19 Porsche hit-andrun case. Mudholkar criticised the six accused, including the parents of the minor boy who was initially arrested and later released on bail by the Bombay High Court on June 25, adding that the tampering of the evidence concluded before the blood of the victims—Anis Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta—could dry. The court’s detailed order, available on Saturday, revealed these developments.
