Founded in 2016 by the visionary designer Rianta Chakraborty, RIANTA'S was born out of a daring leap of faith and a deep passion to redefine bridal elegance with a focus on soft hues, delicate craftsmanship, and a celebration of individuality. In this exclusive interview, Rianta Chakraborty takes us through her inspiring journey, the challenges she faced, and the artistry that defines her brand's signature style.
FL: What inspired the founding of RIANTA'S, and how has the brand evolved since its inception in 2016?
RC: When I was a bride-to-be, I browsed through the bridal market and noticed a prevalence of dark tones, with most designs following the same colour palette of typical reds and maroons. These heavy shades did not resonate with my personality, and I felt a need for something that would allow a bride to feel closer to her identity. Our pieces are designed to be both intricate and elegant. The garments are crafted to be heavy in craftsmanship yet soft and dainty in appearance. By focusing on this unique blend, we strive to offer bridal wear that elevates and complements the bride's individuality, ensuring she feels truly special on her big day.
