A fine end to the season and signings made for 2024/25

IT seems an absolute age since I last wrote in my column, and we have so much to catch up on!
A fine end to the season and signings made for 2024/25

I want to start by mentioning the final game of the National One season against Rosslyn Park. What a rollercoaster of emotions that was! A last-minute break from Morgan Stone to put Connor Eastgate over the line to seal the win was just ridiculous. Brickfields went mad! I lost count of the number of people who came up to me after the game to complain about their poor little hearts. What a day!

The win meant that we secured fourth place in the league, a height we haven't reached since the 2016/17 season. A brilliant season all round and it makes me excited for the next one.

As the season drew to a close, we were sad to see the back of two players, Phil Jones and Harry Wilkinson, who have both moved on to pastures new over the summer.

Phil has been with us since the pandemic and has proved a vital part of our team. A splendid player on the pitch and a clubman through and through off the pitch, Phil will be missed by all.
