The Octagon Brewery produced ale from 1861 until it stopped production in 1970 and was turned into a kitchen factory and showroom a decade later. Since then it has housed workshops, a car repair operation, a vegetable wholesale business and, since 2016, a dance studio - until it pulled out early this year.
Paddy Lawrence and Connor Johnson have plans to transform it back into a brewery, capable of producing 2,000 litres of beer at any one time.
