A PLYMOUTH 999 call handler has started a fundraiser after helping to save a four-year-old boy who almost drowned on holiday in Turkey.
Elle Butcher has organised a GoFundMe called Teddy’s Road to Recovery to raise £5,000 after stepping in to help with the drama unfolded.
The incident saw Teddy completely lifeless for four minutes after he got food stuck in his throat. Elle – who is training to become a paramedic – said the hotel had no defibrillator or first aid box to administer any support.
She claimed hotel staff stood around “watching the young boy die” when an off-duty nurse stepped in to save the young boy’s life.
