Nick Bryant tried his best to stop that from happening with 12 tons and a fine singles performance in which he won well 3-0.

Bryant added a checkout of 114 to his 17 and 18-dart legs in that success; a finish that bettered Jacob Bentham's 80 for the visitors.

Sixteen tons rained down from the arm of Tom Graham, for Kings Tamerton A, but that extra special effort wasn't enough to see his side over the line as Fawn A were 6-5 winners.

Dave Roberts saw that result over the line with a 3-0 singles success that came with the scores tied at 5-5 proceeding it.

Roberts' team-mate Bill Scannell added an 88 checkout that pushed Danny Hoyle's 77 into second best for the match, whilst Scannell also added to a trio of maximums.

Scannell's effort was the only three treble visit for the victors, whilst Phil Hoyle and Chris Hanwell were both recipients of a '180' call after throwing.

Mick Bingham led the way in the scoring phase with ten tons, but his heroics couldn't arrest Victoria's slide to an 8-3 loss at St Levans.

Bingham added an 18-darter in his 3-0 singles win, whilst the main aggressor for the successful Keyham side was Harry MacGregor with two maximums.

Paul Hoare, Heather Toney and Kev Doel (27.81) linked well to put away 1001 points in just 36 darts, but still found themselves on the wrong end of a 6-5 loss as Cherry Tree B were downed by Victory.

Toney added a 180 to her night, whilst AJ Brunton checked 84 to lead a recovery by the Honicknowle team from 5-3 down to eventually win with Chris Beale's 3-0 individuals that was helped by a leg in 18.
