THE company behind the notorious Karen’s Diner tours has stopped trading and gone into liquidation just days after cancelling an event in Plymouth – leaving punters claiming money for tickets they have already bought.
Viral Ventures (UK) Ltd has appointed liquidators after facing “mounting financial pressure”.
Customers of the events – where diners are served by deliberately rude staff under the tag line “s*** service with good food” – are being told that unless they can claim back the cost of tickets from a credit or debit card provider they will have to become creditors of the company. But liquidators at insolvency practitioner Frost Group Ltd have warned they may not get anything and said: “At present there is no prospect of a dividend.”
