IAN FOSTER ISSUES HIS VERDICT ON ARGYLE DEFEAT AT SUNDERLAND
CHRIS ERRINGTON
COLLECTIVE ERRORS

IAN Foster pointed to individual and collective errors by Plymouth Argyle, and also criticised the decision-making of referee Anthony Backhouse, after the 3-1 defeat by Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

Foster saw his side put in an assured away-day display in the first half and they led 1-0 at the break after a superbly taken 12th goal of the season from striker Ryan Hardie.

However, the Pilgrims were unable to reproduce that after the interval.

Argyle conceded three goals by the 67th minute, with the second one from Jack Clarke being a contentious one as the visitors only had 10 players on the pitch at the time.

Forshaw was later substituted, shortly before Sunderland extended their lead to 3-1 in the 67th minute with a fine strike from Jobe Bellingham, and Argyle were headed for a ninth away Championship defeat of the season.
