Demon dentist has the 'fear factor'

NEVER have I been so uncomfortable munching on sweets in the theatre as when the Demon Dentist was gazing out with her steely eyes and you fear she could claw you into her dentist’s chair at any moment.

It certainly was a prompt to say ‘enough sweets already’ to my two youngsters as we became engrossed in this tale.

Demon Dentist is the latest book by children’s author David Walliams to be brought to the stage and by far the creepiest. Walliams doesn’t shy away from creating ghastly and warped worlds in his children’s books and that has, once again, been cleverly translated onto the stage by Birmingham Stage Company for this latest tour.
