WAYNE Rooney is hopeful Plymouth Argyle can bring in a new goalkeeper before the Championship clash against Hull City at Home Park tomorrow despite it being a tight timeframe.
The Pilgrims are looking to replace Michael Cooper, who has joined Sheffield United, with someone who will compete with Northern Ireland international and number one Conor Hazard, who has started the first two matches of the season.
Argyle are working to bring in a new shot-stopper on a permanent transfer rather than a season-long loan, according to Rooney.
He said: "We are making contact with clubs and there is two really which we want. Obviously, I can't give you their names but I'm hoping we can try to get one in before Saturday. It's a big ask because it's only a short period of time. If not, I'm sure there will be one in after the game Saturday."
