AN innovative Plymouth couple who are thought to have set up the city's first 'escape rooms' back in 2016 are now celebrating becoming one of top-rated visitor attractions on TripAdvisor - and they're now adding a brand new room to the 'tucked away' attraction.
Josh Carter, aged 33, and his partner, Sophie Brewster, aged 32, launched Roomsmiths seven years ago in a tucked away corner of Stonehouse. Since then, they have received 188 'execellent' reviews and eight 'very good' reviews, earning a five-star rating.
Josh, who studied art, design and film, is constantly thinking up his own puzzles for the escape room experience. He draws the design and pattern, then makes the props by pouring plastic into a 3D printer and creating new robust moulded items to add to the riddle room.
Now the couple are adding a brand new room to the attraction, which can be found in a 'discreet' location above a long-established tyre shop in George Place, not far from Millbay Academy.
