A PLYMOUTH family who have been left to pick up the cremation costs of their 11-year-old cat, Milo, have issued a plea to encourage his ‘cat-napper’ to pay half the fee.
The strange tale of Milo, the roaming silver tabby, is said to have begun after a nearby resident in Weston Mill took a shine to him and began to entice him into their home with fresh fish, according to owner Benjamin Davies.
The 34-year-old father of four said his family had owned Milo since he was a newborn kitten, even helping to deliver him. However, around six years ago, Benjamin learned that people in the local area had started to feed him and take him into their homes.
Despite direct attempts to make them stop and refuse entry to Milo, he says they continued, causing Milo’s disappearances from the Davies’ family home to go from weeks to months and even longer.
