A KIND-hearted mum from Plymouth who has fostered children within her family for almost a decade is urging others to follow in her footsteps.
Kerry McCabe and her partner, Nathan, decided in 2014 to become foster carers, in addition to raising their two sons, as they knew they could offer children in care a warm and loving home.
After a lot of research, the couple, who were both youth workers, signed up to Capstone Foster Care. They were drawn to the agency's therapeutic approach and started the journey of what would become a very important step for dozens of young people who needed their help.
Kerry said they involved her sons in the process and they were given a lot of support from Capstone on their journey. The 44-year-old added she and her family have not looked back.
