THERE is fresh hope crisis-hit retailer Wilko and its workforce can be saved as union bosses confirmed other businesses are keen to take over at least some parts of the chain. The GMB Union said staff, including at the Plymouth city centre branch, would still be paid and new stock will continue to arrive ahead of possible salvation for stores.
Union chiefs met with administrators at PwC and Wilko bosses and confirmed there were bidders interested in parts of the retail chain. Andy Prendergast, GMB national secretary, said: "GMB has met with administrators and the company as part of the formal consultation process.
