TAVISTOCK manager Stuart Henderson was delighted with the result and performance of his side as they beat Plymouth Parkway 4-1 in Sunday's pre-season friendly at Langsford Park.

Henderson did not want to reveal the name of the trialist that scored two first half goals and it remains to be seen if he stays with the Lambs, while Liam Prynn and Harry French added second half goals to complete an impressive win.

"We want to play a couple of shapes next season and we worked on one of them on Sunday and I thought the shape was very good," Henderson said. "Although Parkway had periods where they had a lot of possession, they didn't really hurt us too much and I felt we mixed it up well.

"It's trying to find the balance, really. We like to play but, at times, we can cause problems by overplaying and there were times yesterday where we beat their press quite efficiently through different strategies and when we did that, we were in on their goal.

"It was nice to score four goals, we had another disallowed and we had other opportunities but, in terms of performances, it was a strong performance."
