Hobbs urges in-form Parkway players to keep their shirts

Last weekend's 4-0 thumping of league leaders Chesham United at Bolitho Park made it one defeat in eight now for Hobbs' men, who moved out of the relegation zone as a result of the win. Had it not been for a number of postponements, then it is highly likely the in-form Yellows would be much higher in the league, but they head to eighth-placed Hendon tomorrow with every belief they can push for the playoffs this season.

"We saved their bacon last season because if we didn't get that point at North Leigh, they would have been relegated!" Hobbs recalled, looking ahead to tomorrow's game. "I know the manager up there and he is a really good guy, I speak to him often and he has really spun them around,. They are eighth and three points off the playoffs, so he has done a really good job.

"But it is a game we are targeting that we think we can win. It is a difficult venue and a 3G pitch, but we are bang in form, so let's go after it. We don't want a point, we want all three.

"We have a full squad and I am spoilt for choice for Saturday and that is where we want to be. We have plenty of in-house competition and if I give you a shirt, then don't give it back to me. It is likely to be the same XI that started against Chesham that will start on Saturday and with derbies against Tiverton and Poole around the corner, don't give the shirt back to me."
