Hoe gets ready for four days of music legends

A HUGE wall has gone up on Plymouth's Hoe as the city prepares to stage the star-studded Summer Sessions this week.

Crews have been busy fencing off a large section around the Promenade in readiness for four days of and soul band Stone Foundation.

Rock and pop big-guns Bryan Adams, Madness and Sting headline over the following three days.

Live Nation and leading live music and event promoter Cuffe & Taylor are organising the event.

Chart-topping pop star Sophie Ellis-Bextor, British soul and rhythm

music. The main stage is now in situ near Lockyer Street, and bars, toilets and food areas are being installed.

Plymouth Summer Sessions is part of a travelling festival hosted by retail chain TK Maxx, also stopping at Derby, Bedford, Southampton, Scarborough, Lytham St Anne's, Cardiff, and Stirling.
